Hannah & Matt

Where do I even begin to describe Hannah and Matt’s wedding…..

At the beginning I suppose!
I met Hannah & Matt a year ago now, after they found me through Instagram. (Oh what I owe to Insta)
I’d like to say I played it cool initially, but in reality they had me at the first mention of Cornwall. My favourite place! As if that wasn’t enough to entice me I learnt that they are both an alternative photographers dream, tattooed and cool AF with the style to match. And to top it all off, their favourite movie is ‘True Romance’ (if you haven’t seen it, you MUST), so much so, that they named their youngest daughter ‘Alabama’ after the lead character played by Patricia Arquette — Well I just damn near collapsed of happiness.

So queue the big day and it’s cracking the flags in beautiful Cornwall. We started the day in Mousehole in Penzance, in a little place called Fallen Angel. The most amazing apartment with unrivalled views of Mousehole and styled to perfection with nods to Morocco. Her morning was lovely and quiet, spent with her two gorgeous daughters and Mother, anxiously anticipating her Dads arrival.

From here Hannah and her Dad took a vintage VW camper to their venue, Chypraze Farm. A working farm overlooking the Ocean on the West Penwith Cliffs. Where her hubby to be and guests were waiting for her. Hannah and Matt opted for a smaller more intimate wedding which suited the venue perfectly. They said ‘I do’ in a short and sweet ceremony in front of the most stunning macrame hanging with the sun shining in through the small barn windows. Hannah and Matt decorated the barn to perfection with bright pops of colour and lots and lots of flowers, matching gold cutlery and ribbons galore. After their ceremony we climbed down to a private beach for some gorgeous portraits, just in time for the heavens to open and be greeted by ALL THE RAIN, and were forced to take shelter under some huge rocks. But alas, it didn’t dampen any of our spirits, on the contrary it made it feel even more adventurous and fun! The rest of their day was spent chatting, drinking and eating with their guests. They opted for a relaxed style bbq and a lemon meringue pie for dessert — I definitely enjoyed this part! Their whole day was full to bursting with love, laughter and fun. Surrounded by the people they hold dearest. They created a day which was as unique and amazing as they are, and did it exactly how they wanted!

Thank you Hannah and matt for letting me be apart of your amazing day! I had the best time celebrating with you and exploring this pretty part of Cornwall.
